Look how far I made it today! My friend Susan was over and I said lets see how far we get. It's been a month since I've been here so everything has grown dramatically. As far as furry friends go, all we saw was the tail end of a chipmunk scurrying away. It might take a bit to get everyone back into posing form but I'm happy to be up for that job. Stay tuned.

This morning on my porch I learned that birds dip twigs into water to help make nests. I don't know why that makes me happy but it does.

Harrison has always had a healthy ego but he is now convinced that everyone who drops by is here to take him for a walk. When the reality was more that today I wanted Susan to take ME for a walk.

So after he skulked around a bit he went back in and we set off.

We visited some of my favourite roses.

And the purple flowerbed.

The Irises had a short growing season this year so we just saw their wrapping paper.

I love that they have put lots of new lady bugs out again this year and that they are a little easier to find.

I never thought even yesterday that I'd have the strength to make it over to the gazebo today and I'm grateful because it's an important place of peace for me.

Honey badger don't care

Saw my surgeon in Hamilton today. She is pleased with how my wound is healing and says she got a decent border around the spot she took out.

The fly in the ointment is that during this last surgery they did some more biopsies and found more cancer.

Soooo we'll be doing this whole song and dance again in August or later. There isn't a hurry this time. Meanwhile I'll heal up and plan on having lots of summer fun.

Once again the surgery will be in an area where no ostomy bags will be necessary so that's a positive. I won't deny that this really is not my favourite thing to do (because I'm not crazy) but on the other hand I prefer it to being told there are no options at all, something someone else at that cancer centre may have had to hear today.

This is the part in the honey badger video where he "gets stung" by the cobra and passes out for a couple of hours. Then he gets up and carries on with his honey badger life. Nothing else to do!

No title available

Had two tries at a hummingbird today. Hopefully they will keep up the good visiting!

Have to figure out the reflection angle of my wall pictures or just accept the fact of it and move on.

This was a fun stand off. Harry was being soundly told off!

A bit of ninja turtle time with Cooper always does a soul good. Harry now automatically assumes everyone who drops by is here to walk him which is not always the case.

Talk to you tomorrow after I get back from Hamilton.
